Trans youth deserve to thrive. They deserve a healthcare system that supports them to grow up healthy, happy and with the freedom to be themselves.

But right now, Queensland Health Minister Tim Nicholls is cruelly blocking access to gender affirming care for trans youth. He’s denying them access to life-changing, and often life-saving health care.

This is a desperate attempt to appeal to a tiny group of vested interests who want to bring Trump-style politics to Australia.

The Queensland government is already under fire from peak medical bodies and human rights organisations, they have faced massive nation-wide protests, and now they’re being sued by the mother of a trans child.

Tim Nicholls needs to stop playing political games with trans young people’s lives.
