All trans and gender diverse people deserve freedom, justice and equality.

We deserve the same rights and protections under the law as everyone else.

In Australia, trans and gender diverse people are protected by the Sex Discrimination Act, as well as the anti-discrimination laws of many states and territories.

But anti-trans politicians like Angus Taylor and Pauline Hanson, and shadowy lobbying groups like Advance and the Australian Christian Lobby, are working hard to wind back these protections. They want a society that is less free and equal.

In light of a historic court case that confirmed trans people are protected under the law, they are now introducing a Bill to try and revoke these same protections.

The Bill could be tabled as early as next week – so we need to act quickly.

If we can get enough people writing to, calling, and meeting with their local Members of Parliament in the coming days we can make sure this Bill goes straight in the bin where it belongs.

Write to your MP to demand they take a stand for trans justice, and commit to protecting the Sex Discrimination Act from anti-trans attacks.
